My editor sent me this at 1:11 this morning.

Claims ER had reached number one in all three of its Amazon categories:

Risk Management.

Business Operations.

Total Quality Management.

It’s my fourth book—and, somehow, my fourth number-one bestseller.

Now, I’m going to be completely honest.

You don’t have to sell thousands of books to reach number one in the categories I write in.

I’m not exactly troubling Jeffrey Archer.

In fact, when Project ER reached number one, a few people took great delight in pointing that out.

Over breakfast one Saturday, I rather despondently told my 83-year-old aunt about the trolling (some of it was quite nasty).

She gave me two pieces of advice:

1. “Throw your bad thoughts where they belong—to the wind.”

2. “I wonder how many of your critics have even read a book to the end, never mind written one.”

Fair point, Auntie.

So this post is for anyone who has ever created something, shared an idea or tried to do work that mattered—and then been criticised by someone watching safely from the sidelines.

Throw their opinions to the wind.

Claims ER is now number one.

Yes, it was written for claims leaders. But its central argument is much bigger than claims:

Low-effort organisations create more loyal customers.

Greater loyalty produces better economics—more renewals, lower costs and greater profit.

That applies in the private sector, the public sector and almost anywhere customers must navigate a complicated service.

So, if you suspect your organisation should be performing better, have a read.

If you’re a claims manager, pensions administration manager, or responsible for a casework system—and want to reduce backlogs, end-to-end times, and operating costs—start with our new Claims ER book. It explains how to transform complex claims and casework systems:

New book is on Amazon and is a best seller. https://amzn.eu/d/0d3beYkk

If the problem is urgent, our two-day Claims Workshop will help you identify the core constraint in your operation and build a practical plan to resolve it within 90 days:

Book a call: https://nobacklog.co.uk/claims

Both routes also give you access to the Low Effort Calculator, which reveals your organisation’s Low Effort Score in around five minutes.

I’m sure there’ll still be one little troll today eager to tell us nobody will ever buy it.

Too late, buddy.

They already have. 😂
